MY STYLE

my style is abstract. I take abstract pictures.

Like Taylor, i had a collection of pictures and artworks that inspires me.

Normally, i don't focus on one thing itself even when i used principle of design which is 'focus'.

i like to make use of the pictures i've taken before.

sometimes i glance through the photographs to get inspirations.

and that's how i got this. [Ele-Birdie]

Other than that, i enjoy "drawing" abstract too.
these are some recent works.

i deal with curves.
and also 'hair lines'.

random lines and shapes.

Below are some of my Year one works.
Clay sculptures.
Curves.

I don't do collage normally, but Maggie taylor's collage interests me.

yeah, and that's about it.

MAGGIE TAYLOR

Influence;

The Artist that I’m inspired by.

MAGGIE TAYLOR

Maggie Taylor was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and was the Crown Bearer for the 1967 May Queen at Hathaway Brown School. Later, she graduated from Yale University with a BA in philosophy. She received an MFA in photography from the University of Florida. For approximately ten years she worked with a camera and film creating still-life images in her studio and garden. In 1996 and 2001 she received State of Florida Individual Artist’s Fellowships. In 1996 Taylor began working digitally, using a scanner in place of a camera. By placing objects directly on the glass top of the scanner she is able to create a unique type of digital image which has some photographic qualities.

Why Maggie taylor?

She is one of the artist whom inspired me. A lot. Her works, are based on surrealism, is an art movement in 1920s. Most of her works were photoshop-ed. Similarly, I liked to take pictures of ‘my way’. Maggie taylor actually inspired me a lot. Especially after reading a book published by her.

Here are some of her works; (enjoy!)

Garden

The waiting room

By looking at her art works, I can feel that there’s a message that she’s trying to convey. Just by observing closely, different people could end up with all kinds of conclusions. Her artworks sets people thinking. Just like film making, the film that you are making can influence change of people’s mind. That’s what basically I liked about her.

The poet's house

Moreover, her camera and photoshop skills never fails to impress me. As a designer, i've always believe that every single person will have their own style and thoughts.
Maggie Taylor, although is not a designer, had shown me how an artwork could affect people's mind/thinking.

The render

The creativity used in her artworks are unlimited and also simply amazing. From there, i could say that she see things that no normal person could.

one of my favourites...

The birthday girl

Hope you guys liked it! =D
